all is finally “whale”
I tried to think of something inspirational to write about for this morning’s email, but I am having some trouble.
It’s been a distracted week for me, because Maui got some sort of a stomach bug last week and didn’t feel tops for quite a few days.
I find it really hard to focus - not only because she wasn’t feeling well, but also because it was the anniversary of her adoption day … and it felt like a significant time.
Our meditations helped keep us close and both of us calm. She’s feeling MUCH better this morning - finally ate a whole bowl of food like she usually does - and I’m glad.
But a little nagging voice in the back of my head seems to still be speaking up with a “is she really OK?”
So I am going to ask you a favor. Will you please send Maui some “good vibes” or prayers or meditate on her health today?
I know that millions of people thinking of her health will do wonders.
While we’re at it, why don’t we all do a meditation for all of our pets today. We all deserve to know that all of us are caring about each other and our loved ones.
If you want a really cool “meditation” soundtrack, I recently found out about this AMAZING website with actual, live broadcasts of the whales off the coast of Maui!
This very cool group of people have a microphone under the water (right where I live, actually) that broadcasts to the internet, so you can listen to the whales on your computer.
A friend once told me that during whale season (November to April) on Maui all is “Whale” no matter what.
So maybe we should listen to the whales telling us that All Is Whale, while we meditate on our dogs (and cats, and parakeets, and all creatures) wellness or “whaleness”.
Go here to listen: http://whalesong.net
If you have the time to post your thoughts or prayers for Maui and everyone else’s pets on please make a comment!
Warm Aloha from Maui, where Maui is Whale, finally.

Dear James,
As the proud parent of two senior citizens, I understand the anxiety when our babies our not feeling up to par. It’s frightening. My Wolf who is 14 in our years has not been feeling so hot for awhile now.
I told him about Maui, and he and I and the rest of our little family our all praying for you and Maui. I so enjoy reading your blog etc.
I have always said it takes someone with so much courage to love, and expecially our furry friends.
Take Care,
I am glad Maui is feeling better
Sincerely,
Joyce, Wolf, Daisy,Ginger and Smoke

Maui,
As I sit here at my computer, surrounded by my beloved cats and dogs I am thinking of you and praying that you are well.
Our rescue organization Saving Angels Rescue Ranch for All Animals is full of horses, dogs, cats, wolves and wolf hybrid dogs, as well as 2 sheep and an aquatic turtle.
I do all I can to save as many animals as possible, bring good health and a strong soul, rehabilitate and resocialize all those who need that special love and attention and find safe, secure, loving forever homes for them.
Meditation is a part of the healing process for the amazing and wonderful animals that pass through the gates of SARRAA - often staying here because of their special needs and my reluctance to trust the rest of their lives to anyone but myself and the at risk teens who help in the animals recovery thus finding healing and love, trust and comfort themselves.
I have followed all of you faithfully for a long time now and so enjoy every email. In the process I have learned so much that assists me in my commitment to the animals and teens.
Thank you for the joy, laughter, sometimes tears, and inspiration that you provide.
Blessings for a long and healthy life with the wonderful people who hold you so dear and precious.

The Whalesong was such a beautiful gift for you to share with us. The live broadcast was so relaxing as I puttered around the house for about 30 minutes, with my pugs, Lucy & Ricky in tow. I finally settled in with them as the three of us relaxed with Whalesong, reminding me of the loving care the humpback calves are getting. The message I received from their songs to one another was a lot like the “songs” between me and my babies. I pray for love and light to surround each and every one of our babies.

Just a note on my cat who has a several tumors in her and the doctor said to just make her comfortable………..we started giving her something that we take, “Frequensea”, which has tons of vitamins and come from the bottom of the sea and is called “marine phytoplankton”…you can google it. From not eating, even her favorite treat of whipped cream, within two days her appetite was back, she is now gaining weight and I can’t wait to go back to the vet and possible the tumors have shrunk. I contribute this drink to helping me with my cancer recovery.
Tima is 18 years in cat age…so don’t know how it equivilants to human age.
I had written to you earlier when you had the pet intuitive person on to ask if Tima would know that it was in her best interest to put her down if she because so weak and not happy…..but now I am thinking that she is far from me having to wrestle with that thought in the near future =)
I don’t know, but this may help with Maui’ overall health.

Cindy and all my hamdappy dogs!

Dear James, I will pray for Maui’s continued good health for today and always. Nux Vomica, Arsenicum Alb, Ipecac and Veratrum Alb are the 4 intestinal homeopathic remedies depending on the symptoms. (I mention these in case you don’t already have a homeopath to work with). The 30C strength is the best. And Bach Flower remedies work well too–starting with Rescue Remedy and massaging the ear points–the whole ear is good. I use homeopathy, Bach Flowers and accupressure (TTOUCH—Tellngton-Jones Feldenkreis work) for all my animals and it works wonderfully.
Many Blessings to you from Encinitas CA!

I’m sending this little chant for Maui’s health and continued healing today. I originally wrote it for my Bengal Cat, T.J.
Green and white healing light,
Pink for love all day and night,
Blue for spirit, purple for soul,
We love you, Maui — you rock & roll!

It is with great exitement that I share this with you…..
I have just arrived at my work and was settling in, but not before I realized that I needed to send up a prayer for our 7th cat who is going in for surgery this morning. (being neutured). Anyway, the still small voice within myself was telling me to go and check my email first, which I did…to my surprise; there you were with request for prayer for Maui.
Just letting you know that I have already lit a candle for our dear ones and will be sending up my heart in prayer for Kek (the cat) and Maui as soon as I complete this posting.

My prayers are with you that Maui will be with you for more years to come. Animals make life worth living. In August, I lost my beloved cat of 17 years. I had another kitty and decided that I had to get another feline to keep him company. I looked through hundreds of pictures and bios on the pet adoption sites. They were all beautiful, but when I saw this one little face, I knew he was the one. He had been found living in an abandoned house and eating garbage. He has turned out to be a wonderful kitten and my life is full of joy to see my two felines playing and frolicking.

Many prayers and happy thoughts are sent your way Miss Maui Valentine. I know being older has it’s moments. My little Caribe is 16yrs and she just broke her foot last Wed. falling down some stairs. She is doing much better this week too. You senoirs are really little “Troopers.” Your devotion to us is AMAZING. You are our angel guides in this life. What blessings you are and what joy you bring to our hearts. We are forever greatful for the time we are allowed to have you with us.

Hey sweet little Maui. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you feel better soon.
February 21st, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Aloha to Jim, Molly, and of course……pretty Maui!
So glad Maui is better, and I hope that it wasn’t a treat of chocolate on Valentine’s Day that made her sick. My Llasa Apso Dusty is very much a dog-child in our household, and consequently I know what Maui means to you folks. I too, hope that she remains with you for many years to come and will make that request to my Higher Up! He does listen, but then I know that you know that too!
Many mahalos for your thought filled messages. I love reading them, and believe me, it makes me feel like a little bit of my favorite island is still with me.

I am so relieved to hear that Maui is feeling much better today! Nothing is more scary that seeing our beloved pets suffering and not feeling up to par. We feel so powerful when we see our little (and big) loved ones not doing well. I am sending prayers of good health to Maui and to all other dogs and cats who aren’t in good health or need loving homes. God bless everyone who loves animals and does what they can to take care of them!!!! My golden girl Maddie and I wish you many healthy, happy days ahead!

Dear James, Molly & Maui–So sorry to just read of Maui’s illness on your “special
day” for celebration. Hope it was something simple like nibbling on some lush
tropical plant . You three must now go out on your beautiful sunny beach &
celebrate! Good wishes to you always. I treasure your “fur angel” as I do mine.
