I cannot begin to tell you how I look forward to the emails and information from you and Maui. They are always the first emails that I open in the morning when I get to work and just get my day on the right track after an hour in Dallas traffic.

I have always been primarily a cat person, however, in early February of 2003, I rescued a little white Maltesse boy from a friend that was unable to properly care for him. There have been many pets in our home over the years, but this tiny guy was different. It has been a life-altering experience to say the least. So Butch and I want wish you and Maui a wonderful "Special Day" and hope that you will enjoy many more in the future.

I share with you and Maui the special significance of Valentine's Day. After my divorce 10 years ago I got my first Standard Poodle, Marlowe. She was born on Valentine's Day and since I have always "loved love" and hearts have been my signature all my life, what better sign that she was the dog for me since she was born on my favorite day of the whole year. Love means everything to me. Marlowe meant everything to me. I had 8 wonderful years with her. She died an awful, painful immune system type death that the vet could not figure out in time to save her life, July 7, 2006. Sadly the vet was not a nice one, and the day before she died I wanted to take her elsewhere for another opinion and the vet told me I had better not......only to have her die alone the next day without me there......She took with her a piece of my heart that will always be hers alone. I miss you my Valentine Girl, until we meet again, Love always my dear Marlowe, your mom Debbie (and the 4 new standard poodles - Razzle, Indiana Jones, Owen and Paisley)
Sometimes I think Marlowe was reincarnated into my new little girl, Paisley, who is 11 months old. P.S. I had 2 maltese like Maui, before Marlowe, Zip and Zelda! They lived to be 14 and 15.

My dog Remo has been alive in my memory since last year. Thanks for giving me a way to share his memory.Be careful about letting Maui jump to much.Remo blew out both knees at different times.Towards the end he was blind but still frisky, I know without doubt that we'll be together again.
